GPAT 2026 Overview
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2026 is a national-level examination conducted for awarding scholarships to eligible candidates seeking admission to Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) programmes in India. GPAT is meant only for scholarship eligibility and ranking and does not itself grant admission to M.Pharm programmes.
Conducting Authority
GPAT 2026 will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) on behalf of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). NBEMS is responsible for conducting the examination and declaring the result, while counselling, admissions, document verification, and scholarship disbursement are handled by designated authorities.

Mode of Application
Applications for GPAT 2026 can be submitted only in online mode through the official NBEMS website. Applications submitted through any other mode will not be accepted.
Eligibility
Candidates must be Indian citizens and must hold a recognised Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree of four years duration after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates, from a recognised university. Candidates appearing in the final year of B.Pharm whose results will be declared before the start of M.Pharm admissions for the academic year 2026–27 are eligible. Candidates appearing in the pre-final year whose final results will be declared before M.Pharm admissions for the academic year 2027–28 are also eligible. Candidates with B.E. or B.Tech degrees in Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology are not eligible.

Admit Card and Examination
Admit cards for GPAT 2026 will be available for download from 02 March 2026 on the official NBEMS website. Candidates declared ineligible before the examination will not be issued admit cards. Requests for change of examination date or centre will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Result and Scholarship
The GPAT 2026 result will be published on the official NBEMS website. Qualifying GPAT does not automatically guarantee admission to M.Pharm programmes or award of scholarship, as these depend on counselling procedures, eligibility verification, and applicable admission policies.
