Admission Alert 2025-26 : ABVMU M.Sc Nursing / Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC)

Applications are invited for admission to the M.Sc. Nursing (2 Years) and Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care (NPCC) (2 Years) programmes for the academic session 2025-26 through the Common Nursing Entrance Test (CNET)-2025 conducted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Uttar Pradesh. This entrance test is mandatory for admission to all Government and Private Nursing Colleges affiliated with ABVMU, as well as SGPGIMS, KGMU Lucknow, and LLRM Medical College, Meerut.

- Online Application Begins: 24 March 2025 (Monday)
- Last Date to Apply Online: 26 April 2025 (Saturday) till 11:59 PM
- Form Correction Window: 19 April 2025 to 26 April 2025
- Admit Card Download: From 14 May 2025 (Wednesday)
- Date of Entrance Examination: 21 May 2025 (Wednesday)

Eligibility:
M.Sc. Nursing:
- Must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (or equivalent) with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience (clinical or teaching) after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or before/after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
NPCC Course:
- Same academic qualifications as above.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience, preferably in a critical care setting, after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or before/after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
- Minimum Age: 17 years as on or before 31 December 2025.
- Only Indian Citizens are eligible to apply.
- Domicile of UP required for admission to government nursing colleges (based on domicile certificate or educational qualifications from UP institutions).
Application Fee:
- UR/OBC: ₹3000/-
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹2000/-
(Fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.)
Reservation Policy:
- As per UP Government norms.
- 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates with 40–50% lower limb disability.
- Valid certificates issued by competent UP authorities required for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Freedom Fighter/Ex-Servicemen/NCC categories.
Mode of Examination:
- Offline (OMR-based) with 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Duration: 140 minutes
- Language: English
- No negative marking.
Syllabus:
- Based on B.Sc. Nursing level syllabus with 3 Sections:
- Section A (66 questions): Core nursing subjects
- Section B (36 questions): Basic sciences & foundation
- Section C (18 questions): Computer, English, Communication, Research, Management
Qualifying Percentile:
- General: 50th percentile
- General-PwD: 45th percentile
- SC/ST/OBC (including PwD): 40th percentile
Examination Cities:
CNET For ABVMU M.Sc Nursing / NPCC
Across 20 cities in Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Noida, Prayagraj, etc.
Admit Card: To be downloaded online from the university website. It is mandatory to carry a printed colored admit card and valid photo ID to the exam centre.
Counselling & Admission:
- Based on merit list from CNET-2025.
- College allotment will be done through centralized counselling.
- Candidates must report with original documents and deposit fee within the specified time to secure admission.
