Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Raigad. Ph.D Entrance Test. DBATU PET 2025
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Basic Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), English, Humanities, and allied programs at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University. Admission will be conducted through a two-stage process:
a) Entrance Examination (DBATU-PET 2025), a qualifying test of 100 marks consisting of Paper 1 (Research Methodology & General Aptitude) and Paper 2 (Subject Specific).
b) Personal Interview for candidates who qualify the entrance examination.
Eligibility:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD/EWS candidates).
- Candidates with a four-year Bachelor’s degree under NEP 2020 must have at least 75% marks.
- M.Phil. degree holders with at least 55% marks.
- Equivalent qualifications from foreign institutions accredited by the appropriate authority.
Exemption from Written Test: Candidates with valid scores in UGC-NET, NET-LS, UGC-CSIR, NET/SET, JRF/SRF, ICAR, ICMR, DET, DST, CEED, GATE, GPAT, or similar national-level tests are exempted from the written test but must appear for the interview.
Exam Pattern:
- Paper 1: Research Methodology & General Aptitude (50 questions, 50 marks, 10:00 – 11:30 AM)
- Paper 2: Subject-Specific (50 questions, 50 marks, 12:30 – 2:00 PM)
- Personal Interview/Viva-Voce: 100 marks
- Minimum qualifying marks: 50% in Paper 1 & Paper 2
- Merit list will be based on 70% weightage for entrance exam and 30% for interview

- List of eligible candidates: April 3, 2025
- Entrance Examination: April 5, 2025
- Interview: April 11, 2025
- Result declaration: April 18, 2025
Application Fee:
- General category: Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 1000/- for exempted candidates)
- Reserved category: Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 800/- for exempted candidates)
Program Duration:
- Minimum: 3 years (including coursework)
- Maximum: 6 years (extendable up to 8 years with re-registration, 10 years for female and PwD candidates)
Part-Time Ph.D.: Available as per UGC regulations with employer’s No Objection Certificate.

- Upload scanned documents including academic certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and relevant entrance test scorecards.
- Pay the application fee online and upload the receipt.
- Submit the form via the Google Form link provided in the notification.
