The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in two sessions — January 2026 and April 2026. The online application form for Session-I will be made available on the official website in October 2025.
Tentative Schedule for JEE Main 2026:

Key Details for Aspirants:
- NTA is increasing the number of examination cities to enable wider participation and convenience for engineering aspirants.
- Special provisions are being made for PwD/PwBD candidates to ensure inclusivity and accessibility.
- To reduce procedural errors during online form submission, NTA has integrated Aadhaar authentication for pre-filling details such as Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, and Address directly from UIDAI records.
- Details not available in Aadhaar, such as Father’s/Mother’s/Guardian’s name, must be entered manually by candidates.
- In case of name mismatch between the Aadhaar Card and Class 10 certificate/marksheet, candidates can rectify this during the online application process. Aspirants may also refer to the NTA Public Notice dated 06 November 2024 titled “Advisory and Instructions on Aadhaar Card Name Mismatch while filling up application form for JEE (Main) 2025,” which remains applicable for JEE (Main) 2026 as well.
