Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), a Central University established in 1998, offers a wide range of academic programs through both regular and distance learning modes, especially targeting Urdu-speaking populations and marginalized sections of society. The Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) facilitates the university’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programs, supported by 9 Regional Centres, 6 Sub-Regional Centres, and 156 Learner Support Centres nationwide.

Eligibility (selected highlights)
- PG Programmes: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Some PG courses require Urdu as a subject/medium at 10th or higher level.
- UG Programmes: 10+2 or equivalent with Urdu as subject/medium (except B.Sc., which requires science stream).
- Diplomas & Certificates: 10+2 for Diplomas; 10th for Certificate programmes.
Application Process
- Entire process is online through https://manuuadmission.samarth.edu.in
- Steps include registration, document upload, payment of Rs 300 application fee, verification, and admission fee payment.
- Documents required: Passport photo, signature, ID proof, marksheets, Urdu language proof (where applicable), ABC & DEB IDs.

Medium of Instruction
- Urdu is the primary medium of instruction and examination. Students must write answers in Urdu unless the subject is Arabic, English, Hindi, or Persian.
