The Sun Pharma Science Foundation invites nominations from Indian scientists and researchers for its prestigious Research Fellowships and Science Scholar Fellowships for the year 2025. The last date for submission of nominations is June 30, 2025. The fellowships are awarded annually to recognize outstanding work in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and aim to encourage excellence in original research.
1. Sun Pharma Science Foundation Research Fellowships (For Scientists)
These fellowships are awarded to scientists working in India or abroad for excellence in original research in:
- Medical Sciences – Basic Research
- Medical Sciences – Clinical Research
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
Important Details:
- Each category carries:
- Trophy + Citation + Cash Prize of ₹5,00,000
- Open to: Indian nationals (resident or non-resident with Indian passport)
- Basis: Overall research contributions (not a single project)
- Nomination must be made by the Head of Institution or qualified reviewer

2. Sun Pharma Science Foundation Science Scholar Fellowships (For Young Indian Researchers)
These are intended for brilliant Indian MD or Ph.D. students (under 30 years) working in Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences, who have completed at least one year of research.

- Two awards in:
- Biomedical Sciences
- Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Each award includes:
- Trophy + Citation + ₹1,00,000 Cash Award
- Additional ₹1,00,000 travel grant for presenting at an international conference
- Finalists (5 per discipline) will present their work to a panel of assessors
- Application must include:
- Proof of original research, ethical clearance, academic records, and justification letters
- Voluntary declaration to work for at least 2 years in academic/research institutions post-study
