Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University, Andhra Pradesh, invites applications for admission to the following two-year diploma programmes for the academic year 2025–26 through manual registration and counseling:

Eligibility:
- Must have passed SSC or equivalent (CBSE/ICSE/NIOS/OSS, etc.).
- Must belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh.
- Candidates who appeared for SSC 2025 and are awaiting results may also apply.
- Candidates with Intermediate qualification or above are not eligible.
- Age: Between 15 and 22 years as on 31-08-2025 (Born between 31-08-2003 and 31-08-2010).
Selection Criteria:
- Based on marks obtained in SSC or equivalent examination.
- Tie-breaking will consider marks in Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and age.
Reservations:
- Rural/Non-Municipal Candidates: 75% seats.
- Category-wise (OC, BC, SC, ST) and special categories (PHC, CAP, NCC, Sports) as per AP Govt. norms.
- 10% EWS supernumerary seats.
- 33.33% of all seats reserved for girl candidates.
Seat Distribution:
- 85% seats for Local Candidates (AU & SVU region in 42:22 ratio).
- 15% Unreserved (Open Merit).

- Manual application only.
- Fee: ₹1000 (General), ₹500 (SC/ST/PH) via DD in favor of “Comptroller, Dr.YSRHU” payable at Tadepalligudem.

- Counseling and admissions will be held based on SSC merit and reservation policies.
Important:
- Hostel facility available on a paid basis (subject to availability).
- Form-I (Non-Municipal Area Certificate) is mandatory for rural quota applicants.
- Submission of original certificates required during counseling.
- University does not guarantee employment post diploma.
- Future prospects include eligibility for B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture via HORTICET and other undergraduate programs (B.Voc., B.Sc. Bio Stream, B.Com, B.A.).
