The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) invites applications from physically and mentally fit Indian citizens, both male and female, for the post of Medical Officer under the Short Service Commission (SSC). This is a prestigious opportunity to serve in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force as a medical professional.
Total Vacancies:
- 400 Posts (300 for male candidates + 100 for female candidates)
Important Dates:
- Online Registration: 19 April 2025 to 12 May 2025
- Interview Dates (Tentative): June/July 2025
- Interview Location: Delhi
Minimum Educational Qualification:
- MBBS degree from a recognized university.
- Only those candidates who have completed their internship and obtained registration with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council are eligible.
Age Limit (as on 31 December 2025):
- For MBBS Degree Holders: Should not have attained 30 years of age (Born on or after 02 Jan 1996)
- For Postgraduate Degree Holders: Should not have attained 35 years of age (Born on or after 02 Jan 1991)

Selection Procedure:
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess their merit and suitability.
