The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, under the aegis of the Homi Bhabha National Institute (Deemed to be University), invites applications for its One-Year Post-M.Sc. Diploma Course in Radiological Physics (Dip.R.P.) for the academic session August 2025 – July 2026. This program trains candidates in radiation physics and its applications, and prepares them for careers as Radiological Safety Officers and in the medical physics field.
About the BARC Diploma in Radiological Physics Course
- Duration: 1 Year (August 2025 – July 2026)
- Training Mode: Academic and practical training across reputed hospitals and nuclear research centers
- Stipend: ₹30,000/- per month (for non-sponsored candidates)
- Number of Seats: 30 (including up to 5 sponsored candidates)
Eligibility
Age Limit (as on 01/08/2025)
- General Category: 26 years
- OBC: 29 years
- SC/ST: 31 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: Eligible for relaxation as per Government norms (up to 10 years in maximum age).
Candidates must be physically fit and capable of undergoing extensive training across multiple centers.
Educational Qualification
- Master’s degree in Physics (M.Sc. Physics) with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
- Candidates with an M.Sc. degree in:
- Nuclear Physics
- Biophysics
- Medical Physics
- or candidates who have taken an elective specialization in these fields may also be considered, provided the core content matches the requirement.
- Final-year M.Sc. students who expect to complete their degree with the required marks by 15th October 2025 are also eligible to apply.
- Degrees must be obtained from recognized Indian Universities/Institutes.
