POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA COURSES
Applications are invited for the following job-oriented PG Diploma Courses approved by the Ministry of Power, designed to meet the technical workforce requirements of India’s growing power sector.
1. Post Graduate Diploma in Power Plant Engineering (1 Year)
Course Highlights:
- Focuses on operation & maintenance of thermal, gas, biomass, and solar power plants.
- Includes industrial training, simulator practice, site visits & guest lectures.
- Offered at NPTI centers: Faridabad, Nagpur, Neyveli, Alappuzha, Shivpuri, Durgapur
- Total Intake: 360 seats
Eligibility:
- B.E./B.Tech. (or equivalent) with minimum 60% marks in:
- Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Control & Instrumentation / Power Engineering and related disciplines.
Course Duration: 1 year
Selection Basis: Merit list based on marks in qualifying degree
Application Fee: ₹500 (including GST)
Course Fee (Tentative):
- ₹2,30,000 + 18% GST (non-sponsored)
- ₹3,60,000 + 18% GST (sponsored)
- 10% fee concession for female candidates
- Hostel & other charges are extra
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Hydro Power Plant Engineering (9 Months)
Course Highlights:
- Covers all aspects of Hydro Power Plant operation, erection, commissioning & management.
- Field visits, simulator training and case study-based learning.
- Conducted at NPTI’s HPTC Nangal (Punjab)
- Total Intake: 60 seats
Eligibility:
- B.E./B.Tech. (or equivalent) with minimum 60% marks in:
- Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Power Engineering
Course Duration: 9 months
Selection Basis: Merit list based on qualifying degree percentage
Application Fee: ₹500
Course Fee (Tentative):
- ₹1,75,000 + 18% GST (non-sponsored)
- ₹2,00,000 + 18% GST (sponsored)
- 10% fee concession for female candidates
