About NBER Certificate Diploma Admissions
The National Board of Examination in Rehabilitation (NBER) invites online applications from eligible candidates for merit-based admission to various Certificate and Diploma level courses in:
- Special Education
- Disability Rehabilitation
These programs are offered by RCI-approved institutions/university departments across India.
Admission is strictly through centralized online e-counselling, based on merit only.
No entrance examination will be conducted.
Eligibility
- Special Education Courses (D.Ed.Spl.Ed.):
10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks in any stream. - Disability Rehabilitation Courses (e.g., D.H.L.S., D.P.O., D.R.T., D.H.A.E.M.T., D.C.E.&A.T(VI), D.V.R.(ID), D.C.B.R.):
10+2 with PCM/PCB or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks. - Sign Language (DTISL Course) – only for deaf candidates:
10+2 with minimum 45% marks, Disability Certificate (Deaf), and productive ISL skills. - Additional eligibility requirements apply for courses such as D.E.C.S.E., D.I.S.L.I., C.C.R.T., C.B.S., C.C.C.G.
- Preference for PwD Applicants’ Family Members:
First-blood relatives (parents/siblings) of persons with disability are eligible for marks relaxation:- 5 marks for 50% disability
- 10 marks for 100% disability
