About the CMAT 2026 Exam
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination conducted by NTA for admission to management programmes across AICTE-approved institutions, university departments, constituent and affiliated colleges in India. CMAT assesses candidates’ abilities in areas such as Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, General Awareness, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Eligibility
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
- Final-year students whose results will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2026-27 are also eligible.
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- No age limit applies for appearing in CMAT 2026.

Each correct answer carries 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The question paper will be in English only.

Choice of Exam Cities
Candidates can select up to four cities of their choice. The list of 131 test cities across India is available in the information bulletin. The final allotment will depend on administrative/logistic considerations.
Admit Card
To be downloaded from the NTA website only. No admit cards will be sent by post. The date for downloading admit cards will be notified later.
Reservation (for Central Government Institutions)
- Scheduled Castes (SC): 15%
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 27%
- General-EWS: 10%
- PwD: 5% seats in each category
How to Apply for CMAT 2026 Exam
- Visit https://cmat.nta.nic.in and register online.
- Complete the application form and upload the required documents (photograph, signature, PwD certificate if applicable).
- Pay the examination fee online through Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
- Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.
