ABOUT ARYABHATTA KNOWLEDGE UNIVERSITY, PATNA
(State University, Established by Bihar Act 24 of 2008)
Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patna, was established by the Government of Bihar for managing and developing educational infrastructure in technical, medical, management, and allied professional domains. The university aims to elevate professional education in Bihar to national standards through modern courses, quality faculty, and improved institutional capacity. AKU affiliates institutions offering education in Engineering, Technology, Medicine, Health Sciences, Law, Education, Management, etc.
M.Ed. JOINT ENTRANCE TEST (JET) 2025
The university invites applications for admission to the M.Ed. Programme through the Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2025. The program is offered at affiliated colleges under AKU and is aimed at building professional teaching competence.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks or equivalent grade in one of the following:
- B.Ed.
- B.A.B.Ed. / B.Sc.B.Ed.
- B.El.Ed.
- D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks in each)
Relaxation:
SC/ST/PWD candidates are eligible for 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.
Note:
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination may also apply, but their results must be declared before the admission date announced by the University.
RESERVATION POLICY
- SC: 16%
- ST: 1%
- BC-I: 18%
- BC-II: 12%
- BC Women: 3%
- Physically Challenged: 3% (1% each for visually, hearing, and orthopedically impaired)
Reservations are applicable as per Bihar government rules. Candidates from outside Bihar will be considered as General Category.
ENTRANCE TEST DETAILS
The M.Ed. Joint Entrance Test (JET) will be an objective-type written test with 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), covering the following sections:

- Selection is strictly based on merit in the JET 2025 and preference of institution.
- Final admission will be confirmed only after verification of original documents.
- Working professionals must provide leave from the employer for full academic session.
- No candidate has the right to claim admission merely by appearing in the test.
