Eligibility
- Master’s Degree (or equivalent professional degree) with 55% marks (50% for Reserved Categories/PwD/Candidates who completed Master’s before 19-Sept-1991).
- M.Phil. students with pending viva voce may apply.
Admission Process
- Entrance Examination (H-PET):
- Paper I: Research Methodology & Aptitude (50 Marks).
- Paper II: Subject-Specific (50 Marks).
- Total: 100 Marks (2 hours, MCQ format, no negative marking).
- Qualifying Marks: 50% (General), 45% (Reserved Categories).
- Personal Interview: For candidates qualifying H-PET or exempted from it.
Exemption from H-PET
Candidates with:
- UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, GATE, GPAT, SLET/SET, DST Inspire/DBT/ICMR/ICAR fellowships.
- Valid M.Phil. degree (UGC-compliant) or prior PET qualification.
- Existing Ph.D. holders seeking another Ph.D.
