Admissions for Integrated PhD Programme – August 2025
IISER Pune invites online applications for the Integrated PhD (IPhD) Programme in Biology and Physics for the session starting in August 2025.
Integrated PhD Programme in Biology
IISER Pune has shortlisted candidates based on their performance in the Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) 2025.
- Only the shortlisted candidates are invited to apply.
- Candidates must check their registered email for updates and follow the application link provided.
- The online application form for the August 2025 Batch is available on the IISER Pune website.
Integrated PhD Programme in Physics
Eligibility:
- Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or a CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale) in BSc/BTech/BE.
- For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the requirement is 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Candidates must have a rank equal to 500 or better in JAM (Physics) or JEST IPhD (Physics).
- For reserved category candidates, the required rank is 625 or better.
- Final-year students are eligible to apply. However, admission will be provisional until they fulfill all eligibility criteria.
- Additional shortlisting criteria may be applied for interviews.
Interview Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an in-person interview.
- Selection will be based on the candidate’s performance in the interview.
Application Process
- The online application will be available from March 6, 2025.
- The last date to submit applications is April 7, 2025 (5:00 PM IST).
- The list of shortlisted candidates for interviews will be published by April 14, 2025.
- Interviews will be conducted online in two rounds from April 21 to April 25, 2025.

- Shortlisting for interviews is not guaranteed by merely filling out the application form.
- Further shortlisting criteria may be applied by IISER Pune based on the number of applications received.
