Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi (IGRUA), Amethi invites applications for its Ab-Initio to Commercial Pilot License (CPL) course, commencing in 2025.
Program Details
- Training includes CPL with Multi-Engine Endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-Engine Aircraft.
- Optional: Students can also opt for a B.Sc. (Aviation) Degree, conducted simultaneously with CPL training. (40 seats available).
Eligibility
- Education: Passed 10+2 with English, Mathematics, and Physics or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum Marks Required:
- General Category: 50% in individual subjects.
- SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) & EWS: 45% in individual subjects.
- Marital Status: Single, unmarried.
- Minimum Height: 158 cm.
- Age Limit (as of the last date of application):
- General: 28 years
- OBC: 31 years
- SC/ST: 33 years
Medical Requirements
- Candidates must clear Class-I Medical Fitness Test by DGCA.
- Selected candidates can initially join with Class-II Medical, but must submit Class-I Medical Certificate later.
- For Medical Centers/Doctors: Visit DGCA Medical List.
Training Fee
- ₹45 Lakhs (payable in four quarterly installments within one year).
- Additional ₹2.5 Lakhs for uniforms, navigation computers, headsets, etc.
- Optional Type Training Fees (if opted for Type Rating Training with FSTC):
- A320 or B737 – ₹17 Lakhs
- ATR-72 or Q-400 – ₹19 Lakhs
Hostel & Boarding Charges
- Separate hostels for boys and girls with mess facilities.
- Charges: ₹15,000 per month (approx.).
Selection Process
- Online Entrance Exam (Computer-Based Test) – Includes General English, Mathematics, Physics, Reasoning & Current Affairs (Objective-type, No Negative Marking).
- Interview/Viva – Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents.
- Pilot Aptitude & Psychometric Test – Only candidates clearing this test qualify for final selection. (No relaxation for SC/ST/EWS/OBC candidates).

Application Process
- Apply online at: IGRUA Entrance Portal.
- Application Fee: ₹12,000 (for General/OBC/EWS). SC/ST candidates are exempt from the fee.
- Required documents: Recent passport-size photo, scanned signature, valid email, mobile number.
Travel Allowance for SC/ST Candidates
- SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed 2nd class train fare (one-time) for appearing in the interview/pilot aptitude test, upon submitting travel proof.
