Majuli University of Culture (MUC), located in the heart of Majuli, Assam, is a unique higher educational institution dedicated to the preservation, promotion, and advancement of Assam’s cultural and artistic heritage. The University offers advanced academic programs in various cultural disciplines and seeks to create a vibrant academic environment on the island of Majuli — the world’s largest river island.

| M.A. in Performing Arts (Specialisations in Theatre Art / Sattriya Dance / Vocal Music with special focus on Sattriya Music) | MUC03 | (i) B.A. in Performing Arts / Bachelor of Performing Arts (B.P.A.) / B.Voc in Performing Arts or equivalent with specialisation in Dance, Music, or Theatre (ii) OR B.A. in any discipline with: a) For Theatre Art: Certificate from NSD Centre or equivalent experience (10 productions + 3 recommendations) b) For Sattriya Dance or Vocal Music: Visharad or equivalent qualification from recognised boards (e.g., Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth, Asom Sattra Mahasabha, Pracheen Kala Kendra, etc.) |
Note:
- Candidates appearing in their 6th Semester or Final Semester in 2025 are eligible for provisional admission.
- Candidates with backlog in 2nd or 4th semester are also eligible for provisional admission if they appear in MUCET 2025.
Entrance Test (MUCET 2025)
- Compulsory for all applicants
- Test Type: Single paper, 100 marks
- 50 MCQ (2 marks each)
- Negative marking: -0.5 mark per wrong answer
- Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes
- Medium: English (except for language subjects)
- Syllabus: B.A. level curriculum of relevant subject
- Test Centres: Details to be notified; Admit Cards to be sent via email by 30/06/2025
- Result: Merit list based on MUCET 2025 score only (100% weightage)

- MUCET 2025 score is valid only for the academic session 2025-26.
