The Madras School of Economics (MSE), recognized as an Institution of Special Importance by the Government of Tamil Nadu and included by UGC under the State Legislature Act, invites applications for admission to its five-year Integrated M.A. in Economics program for the Academic Year 2025-26. The degree will be awarded by MSE under its own degree-granting authority as per the MSE Act, 2020.
The program includes exit options after 3 years (B.A. (Honors)) and 4 years (B.A. (Honors with Research)).

Eligibility
Academic Qualification
- Pass in 10+2 (any subject combination) in the first attempt of final year exams (AY 2025).
- Candidates appearing for 10+2 examinations in May 2025 are also eligible.
Minimum Percentage Requirements at 10+2 Level
- 65% for General Category
- 60% for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates
- (or equivalent grades or credits)
Additional Requirements
- Must have studied Mathematics (Standard/Applied/Business Mathematics) at the 10+2 level.
- Should not have completed 22 years of age as on 1st July 2025.
Number of Seats
- Total Intake: 80 seats
- Includes 35% reservation for resident students of Tamil Nadu.
- Reservation policies of the Government of Tamil Nadu and Central Government will be followed.
Selection Procedure
- Admission is based on an Entrance Test conducted at designated centers across India.
- In case of tie in entrance test marks, merit ranking will be based on:
- Percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
- Age (preference to elder candidates).
