The Madras School of Economics (MSE), recognized as an Institution of Special Importance by the Government of Tamil Nadu and included by UGC under the State Legislature Act, invites applications for admission to its two-year full-time M.B.A. programs for the Academic Year 2025-26. The degrees will be awarded by MSE under its own degree-granting authority as per the MSE Act, 2020.
Candidates with strong quantitative backgrounds in Social Sciences, Commerce, Management, Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, and Engineering are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
Academic Qualification
- Undergraduate degree in Social Sciences (including Commerce and Management), Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
- Final-year undergraduate students appearing for examinations in May 2025 are also eligible.
- Minimum 60% marks in Class X and Class XII examinations.
Minimum Percentage Requirement at Undergraduate Level
- 55% for General Category
- 50% for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)
- 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates
Additional Requirements
- Candidates should have studied Mathematics at Class XII level or equivalent (including NIOS Senior Secondary Mathematics or Mathematical Economics courses at the undergraduate level covering Linear Algebra, Differential Calculus, and Optimization).
- Must hold a degree from a recognized university under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 system.
- No arrears or backlogs at the time of joining the program.
- Must have valid scores from one of the following entrance exams:
- CAT
- GMAT
- XAT
- MAT
- CMAT
- ATMA
Age Limit
- Candidates should not be older than 25 years as on 1st July 2025.
Number of Seats
- Total Intake per Program: 47 seats
- Includes 35% reservation for resident students of Tamil Nadu.
- Reservation Policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu will be followed.
Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting based on performance in standardized entrance tests.
- Both overall and sectional cut-off scores will be considered.
- Cut-offs will be decided by the MSE MBA 2025-26 Admission Committee after each application deadline.
