National Archives of India Diploma 2025 – One Year Diploma Course in Archives and Records Management 2025–26
Applications are invited for admission to the One Year Diploma Course in Archives and Records Management conducted by the School of Archival Studies, National Archives of India, for the academic session 2025–26.
Course Duration
03 November 2025 to 30 October 2026
Course Objective
To train candidates in Archival Studies including Records Management, Conservation, Reprography, and Information Sciences, and to develop skilled professionals in the field of Archives.
Eligibility
- M.A. (History) with at least 50% aggregate and one optional paper in Modern Indian History (Post-1750).
- OR M.A. in Social Sciences (Anthropology, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Linguistics, etc.) with at least 50%.
- OR M.Sc. in Applied/Physical Sciences with at least 50%.
Total Seats and Reservation
- Total Seats: 30
- 10 seats: M.A. (History)
- 10 seats: M.A. in Social Sciences / M.Sc. Applied/Physical Sciences
- 10 seats: Sponsored candidates
- Reservation: As per Govt. of India norms (SC/ST/OBC/PWD)
Age Limit
- Private Candidates: Below 30 years
- Sponsored Candidates: Below 50 years
Selection Process
- Private Candidates (20 Seats): Written test and interview. Admission based on merit.
- Sponsored Candidates (10 Seats): Direct admission based on employer sponsorship and recommendation of the Selection Committee. No entrance exam.
Scholarships & Stipends
- 10 Scholarships: ₹3,000 per month (merit-based)
- 6 Stipends: ₹1,500 per month (sponsored candidates only)
Fees
- Registration Fee:
- ₹100 for Indian & SAARC country applicants
- US$ 40 for foreign applicants

- US$ 500 (Foreign)
