Admission Procedure for Students from Nepal, Bangladesh and other International students.
Seats reserved for International Students
PhD: 2% of seats in each department.
MTech: 15%
Eligibility for PhD Aspirants for International Students
Same as Indian Students.
Eligibility for MTech Aspirants for International Students
Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant branch of Engineering or Science (four-year program) with at least 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or an equivalent CGPA. Proficiency in English is required, which can be demonstrated through one of the following: the medium of instruction at the undergraduate level must have been English, or the candidate must have qualified in the IELTS examination with a band score of 6.0 or above, or an equivalent PTE score, or must have qualified GRE/TOEFL with a valid score. The merit list will be prepared based on the percentage obtained in the Bachelor’s degree, and in case of a tie, the candidate older in age will be given a higher rank.
Admission Process Through Study in India Portal
Admissions under the Study in India (SII) program at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, follow the steps below:
- Application Submission: Candidates must apply through the Study in India (SII) portal.
- Eligibility Verification: The institute will check the candidate’s eligibility based on its defined criteria. If required, candidates may be contacted for further information.
- Merit List Preparation: The institute will prepare a merit list in accordance with the available seat matrix.
- Acceptance or Rejection: The institute will accept or reject applications on the SII portal.
- Offer Letter Issuance: Candidates who meet the criteria and are selected will receive an offer letter.
- Offer Letter Acceptance: Selected candidates must accept the offer letter within seven days.
- Admission Confirmation: Once the offer is accepted, the institute confirms the admission.
- Fee Payment: Candidates must pay a partial admission fee within two days.
- Fee Receipt Upload: The institute uploads the fee receipt on the SII portal, which is required for E-Visa processing.
