- Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT (Phase-II)

SEAT MATRIX (Institute Fellowship Seats)
Total Seats: 80
Reservation as per Govt. of India norms (GEN, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD)
In addition to the above, variable seats available under part-time, project, JRF/NET/Visvesvaraya fellowships.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Academic Qualification:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/Sciences/Humanities/Management with at least
- 6.5 CGPA on 10-point scale or 60% marks
- OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with
- 8.5 CGPA or 80% marks
Relaxation:
- 5% or 0.5 CGPA relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates at both UG and PG levels
For Part-Time Ph.D.:
- Minimum 2 years of regular employment in Govt./Industry/Academic/PSU/PPP institutions
- NOC from employer required (format provided)
Exemption from Written Test:
- Valid GATE/NET-JRF/NET-LS for full-time candidates
- NITK faculty and R&D staff with valid experience for part-time seats
ADMISSION PROCESS
For the NIT Kurukshetra PhD Program 2025
- Written Test (Paper-I: Aptitude, Paper-II: Subject)
- Shortlisted candidates to appear for Presentation and Interview
- Exempted categories attend Interview only
