The Pondicherry Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (PIHMCT), sponsored by the Government of India and the Government of Puducherry, invites applications for admission to its Diploma and Craftsmanship Certificate courses for the Academic Year 2025-26. Admissions will be made purely on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Mode of Selection
- Admission is based purely on merit (marks secured in qualifying examination).
- Priority will be given to candidates who are residents of the Union Territory of Puducherry.
- Unfilled seats will be filled by candidates from other states irrespective of communal reservation.
Eligibility
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
- For Diploma Programs: Pass in 12th Class (any stream).
- For Craftsmanship Certificate Course: Pass in 10th Class.
- Open to both boys and girls.
- No upper age limit for admission.
Reservation
- As per Government of Puducherry regulations for Puducherry residents.
- Categories include SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EBC, BCM, BT, Freedom Fighters’ descendants, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and Meritorious Sports Persons.
