Notice: PM YUVA Mentorship Scheme 3.0 | 2025
The PM-YUVA 3.0 Mentorship Scheme, organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India and implemented by the National Book Trust (NBT), India, aims to nurture young writers across the country. This initiative provides an opportunity for emerging authors to develop their literary skills under expert guidance and contribute to India’s rich literary heritage.
About the Scheme
Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, the PM-YUVA Mentorship Scheme seeks to empower young minds, enhance reading and writing culture, and develop the next generation of literary leaders. With India being one of the largest book publishing markets globally, this scheme is a crucial step in showcasing indigenous literature on an international platform.
Following the success of the previous editions, PM-YUVA 3.0 is being launched to identify and mentor 50 young authors who will receive structured guidance and financial support to create impactful literary works.
Key Highlights
- Eligibility: Open to aspiring writers up to 30 years of age.
- Selection: 50 authors will be chosen through a nationwide competition.
- Scholarship: Selected authors will receive a monthly scholarship of ₹50,000 for six months.
- Languages: Entries can be submitted in English and 22 official Indian languages.
- Contest Period: March 11 – April 10, 2025.

Themes for PM YUVA Mentorship Scheme
Participants can submit their works on the following themes:
- Contribution of Indian Diaspora in Nation Building (10 Authors)
- Indian Knowledge System (20 Authors)
- Makers of Modern India (1950-2025) (20 Authors)
Mentorship & Training
Selected candidates will be part of a structured mentorship program where they will receive:
- Training from eminent authors and industry experts.
- Guidance on research, writing, and publishing processes.
- Exposure to international literary festivals and book fairs.
- Opportunities for cultural exchange programs and networking.
Publication & Recognition
- Authors will have their books published by National Book Trust (NBT), India.
- Their works may be translated into multiple Indian languages to promote cultural exchange.
- Authors will receive a 10% royalty on book sales.
- Participants will be provided platforms to showcase their work at national and international levels.
