Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru, an autonomous institute under the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites online applications for admission to its Postgraduate and Research Programmes for 2025-26.
Programmes Offered:
Research Programmes (Ph.D./MS(Engg.)/MS(Research))
- Eligibility: Candidates with M.Sc. or equivalent, BE/B.Tech/BS (4-year), ME/M.Tech, B.V.Sc./M.V.Sc., or MBBS/M.D. (depending on the program).
- Minimum Marks Required: 55% in the highest university examination.
- National-Level Exam Requirement: Candidates must have qualified in any one of the following:
GATE/JEST/GPAT/UGC-JRF/CSIR-JRF/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/DST-INSPIRE JRF.
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Chemistry
- Specializations: Materials Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or Energy.
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Science with Chemistry as a major.
- Minimum Marks Required: 55% in the Bachelor’s degree.
Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Inter-Disciplinary Biosciences
- Specializations: Epigenetics and Diseases, Neurosciences, Human Disease Genetics, or Chemical Biology.
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with Chemistry as a significant subject.
- Minimum Marks Required: 55% in the Bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates who have qualified Joint Admissions Test for Masters (JAM) 2025 or an equivalent exam are encouraged to apply.
Integrated Ph.D. Programmes (Physical Science, Chemical Science, Biological Science)
- Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Candidates appearing for the final year examination of their Bachelor’s degree in 2025 are also eligible to apply.
- JAM 2025 qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Science
- Eligibility: Candidates who have completed their M.Sc. in any branch of Science.
