Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to the following postgraduate diploma/degree courses at the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, for the academic session 2025. Admission will be through the All India Online Entrance Examination (CBT) scheduled for 27th June 2025 at various centers across India (Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Ranchi).
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology
- Seats: 4 (No Reservation)
- Duration: 2 years
- Qualification: M. Phil. in Clinical Psychology (Medical & Social Psychology) from a university recognized by the UGC.
M. Phil. in Clinical Psychology
- Seats: 21 (UR-10, EWS-02, OBC-06, SC-03, ST-02) (Pwd-01)
- Duration: 2 years
- Qualification: M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology from a university recognized by the UGC, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC, ST & OBC).
M. Phil. in Psychiatric Social Work
- Seats: 15 (UR-07, EWS-01, OBC-04, SC-02, ST-01) (Pwd-01)
- Duration: 2 years
- Qualification: Master’s degree in Social Work from a university recognized by the UGC, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC, ST & OBC).
Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing
- Seats: 23 (UR-10, EWS-02, OBC-06, SC-03, ST-02) (Pwd-01)
- Duration: 1 year
- Qualification: ‘A’ Grade Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery.
Scholarships
- Group A & B: Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of ₹25,000 per month.
- Group C: Selected candidates will receive a scholarship of ₹2,500 per month.
Application Process
- Online application forms will be available on www.cipranchi.nic.in from 19th March 2025.
- The last date for submission of applications is 15th April 2025.
- Application Fee:
- UR & EWS candidates: ₹1000/-
- OBC, SC & ST candidates: ₹500/-
(Processing charges may apply for online payments made via Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, Net Banking, Mobile Banking, etc.)
- Payment Mode: Online. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted.
Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the Computer-Based Test (CBT) on 27th June 2025.
- Interview & Counseling: Shortlisted candidates must attend interviews in Ranchi as per their respective course schedule.
- Final selection will be based on CBT scores and interview performance.
- Session Commencement: 1st July 2025.
