What is Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya ?
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) are a unique system of schools under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Established with the goal of providing quality education to talented children, JNVs offer free education along with boarding and lodging to students from Class VI to XII. These co-educational, fully residential schools are located in every district of India, primarily aimed at identifying and nurturing rural talent.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2026-27 for Class VI Now Open
Online applications are now open for admission to Class VI in JNVs for the academic session 2026-27 through a selection test.

- JEE Advanced 2024: 1083 (34.64%) students qualified out of 3124

- Class X (2024-25): 99.49%
- Class XII: 99.29%
Eligibility:
- Bonafide residents of the district
- Studying in Class V during 2025-26 in Government/Government-recognised schools in the district where admission is sought
- Must have completed full academic session in Class V and be born between 01-04-2015 and 31-07-2016 (both dates inclusive)
Reservation:
- At least 75% seats in a district reserved for rural candidates
- Reservation as per Government norms for SC, ST, OBC, Divyang (PH)
- Minimum 1/3 seats reserved for girls
