NITTTR Kolkata PhD Admission Notice 2025-26 (Winter Session)

National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training and Research, Kolkata (Deemed to be University under the Ministry of Education, Government of India) invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to its Full Time and Part Time PhD programmes for the academic year 2025-26 Winter Session.

About the Institute

NITTTR Kolkata was established in 1965 under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, and has been granted Deemed-to-be University status as per Government notification dated 22 February 2024. The institute focuses on technical teacher training, research, curriculum development, resource development, and capacity building in technical education. It offers modern infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and advanced academic resources.

Eligibility

Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology (ME, MTech) or 2-year MS degree after 4-year BE or BTech in relevant area with minimum CGPA of 6
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a Government recognized institute in relevant area with minimum CGPA of 7.5
Master’s degree in Science, Humanities, Management, or Education with minimum CGPA of 6.

Selection will be based on written test and interview conducted at NITTTR Kolkata campus.
