Each seat has guide-specific eligibility requirements (medical/non-medical) detailed in the prospectus.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold one of the following qualifications with at least 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/female candidates):
Medical Candidates:
- MBBS / MD / MS / MDS / DM / MCh / DNB
- Masters after BAMS, BHMS, BNYS (for AYUSH)
Non-Medical Candidates:
- M.Sc., M.Tech., M.Com., MBA, MPH, M.Biotech (2-year programs only; no distance degrees)
Nursing Candidates:
- M.Sc. Nursing with 55% marks
In-Service & External Candidates:
- Must submit valid No Objection Certificate from the employer
- External candidates must be granted at least 3 years study leave if selected

Selection Process
Stage I & II (Written Test)
- Date: 24 June 2025 | Duration: 90 minutes | 70 MCQs (Aptitude + Subject-specific)
- Candidates scoring ≥35/70 move to Stage III
Stage III (Departmental Assessment)
- Date: 26 June 2025 | Marks: 20
- Includes lab/clinical/practical assessment
Final Selection:
- Based on total of Stage I + II + III + special weightage (if applicable)
- Minimum 50/100 marks required for admission
Special Weightage (10 Marks):
- Medical/Nursing candidates with eligible degrees
- Non-medical candidates with valid JRF/SRF fellowships (declared after June 2023)
Fellowship & Funding
Limited Institutional Fellowships (stipend) may be awarded to meritorious candidates as per IRRB decision. External scholars are responsible for their own expenses.
Course Duration
- Minimum: 3 years (including coursework)
- Maximum: 6 years
