Certificate Courses in Foreign Languages 2025–26
The Centre for Indian and Foreign Languages (CIFL) operates under the Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC), University of Delhi. The Centre offers part-time certificate courses in a wide range of foreign languages. These programs are open to students of the University of Delhi as well as the general public, promoting language proficiency and cultural understanding.

All courses are affiliated with the Department of Germanic and Romance Studies and the Department of East Asian Studies, University of Delhi. Examinations and certifications are conducted by the University of Delhi.
Eligibility
- Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Merit calculation based on best four subjects at 10+2 level, including English/Hindi.

Course Structure
- Mode: Classroom Programme
- Duration: August 2025 to March 2026 (approx.)
- Class timings: To be updated one week before class commencement
- No transfer between courses/sections allowed after admission
Fee Structure
- ₹10,000 (Course Fee)
- ₹510 (University Examination Fee)
- ₹300 (University Enrolment Fee for candidates not enrolled in University of Delhi)
Refund Policy:
- Fee once paid is non-refundable, except in case of course cancellation by OLDC.
Important Instructions
- Applicants must use their own active email ID and mobile number.
- All admissions are provisional until document verification is complete.
- No transfer between courses/sections after admission.
- Applicants applying for multiple languages must apply before uploading documents.
- No age bar for these certificate courses.
- Students are not entitled to regular student privileges (library, hostel etc.).
- Identity card will be issued.
- Undertaking of compliance with college discipline is mandatory.
