Central Hindi Directorate (Department of Correspondence Courses)

Applications are invited from Non-Hindi speaking Indians, Foreigners, and NRIs for admission to the following Hindi Correspondence Courses offered by the Central Hindi Directorate:


Courses Offered

  1. Certificate Course in Hindi (Preliminary Level) – Offered through English, Tamil, Malayalam, Bangla, and Odiya medium.
  2. Diploma Course in Hindi (Subsequent to Certificate Course) – Offered through English, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bangla medium.
  3. Advance Diploma Course in Hindi (Senior Secondary Level) – Available in Hindi medium only.

Eligibility

  • Certificate Course in Hindi: For beginners with little or no knowledge of Hindi. Open to Non-Hindi speaking Indians and Foreigners/Nationals/Settlers abroad. Minimum age: 10 years as on 01/07/2025.
  • Diploma Course in Hindi: For those with basic knowledge of Hindi. Minimum age: 12 years as on 01/07/2025.
  • Advance Diploma Course in Hindi: For those with sufficient knowledge of Hindi. Minimum age: 14 years as on 01/07/2025.

Fee Payment Options

  • Online through www.bharatkosh.gov.in
    Go to Quick Payment → Ministry: 007-Higher Education → Purpose: Education receipt → Drawing & Disbursing Officer: 211766 (Jr. Admn Officer, Central Hindi Directorate).
  • Through Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Bank Draft (Money Orders or Cheques not accepted).
  • Receipt of online payment must be attached with the application.

For Hindi Correspondence Courses 2025

  • Application form can be downloaded from www.chd.education.gov.in.
  • No separate form request will be entertained; applicants must submit the form with all required details.
  • Admission will be granted on a first-come-first-served basis.
  • Students cannot be enrolled in two courses simultaneously.
  • Those who have appeared in Certificate or Diploma course exams may apply for the next level.
  • Last date for submission of filled applications with fee: 31 July 2025.
  • Late applications will not be considered.
