Admission Notice: Ph.D. Programme 2025–26 (Through RET)
Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly invites online applications for admission to its Ph.D. (Full-time/Part-time) programmes through the Research Entrance Test (RET) for the academic session 2025–26. Applications must be submitted online only via www.mjpru.ac.in or https://mjprudor.ac.in.

Application Fee
- General/OBC/EWS: Rs. 1,200
- SC/ST/Transgender: Rs. 600
- Part-Time Candidates: Rs. 10,000

Eligibility
Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade). A relaxation of 5% is provided to SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer)/differently-abled candidates and those who obtained their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991. Final year PG students may also apply provisionally.
Selection Procedure
Admission will be based on performance in the RET written examination followed by an interview. The RET will consist of two papers (each of 2 hours, 100 marks) – one testing research aptitude and the other assessing subject proficiency. Minimum qualifying marks are 50% (45% for reserved categories).
RET Exemption
Candidates holding valid qualifications like NET/JRF/GATE/GPAT/CSIR/UP-SLET or who are permanent faculty in the University/Govt. aided colleges (with 2 years service) or senior defence personnel (Colonel or equivalent rank with 15+ years of service) are exempt from RET but must still apply online.
