Admissions are open for Indian and international students to the Master’s and Ph.D. programs at Nalanda University for the academic year 2025–26. The university offers interdisciplinary postgraduate and research programs rooted in the legacy of ancient Nalanda while addressing global contemporary challenges. The last date to apply is 15 June 2025.

- M.B.A. in Sustainable Development and Management (Exit option with Diploma after 1 Year)

- M.A. in Historical Studies
- M.A. in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions
- M.A. in International Relations and Peace Studies

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) – Duration: 4 Years
- Ph.D. in World Literature (English)

- Ph.D. in Historical Studies (specializations in Archaeology & International Relations and Peace Studies)
- Ph.D. in Buddhist Studies, Philosophy and Comparative Religions (with specialization in Hindu Studies – Sanātana Dharma)
Eligibility Criteria
Master’s Programs
- A 3-year Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) from a recognized university.
- Minimum 55% or 2.2/4.0 GPA.
- Students from any discipline can apply.
- Proof of English proficiency is mandatory for non-English medium applicants (TOEFL/IELTS/other).
- For MBA:
- Indian students: Minimum 70 percentile in CAT/XAT/MAT.
- International: GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent or valid GMAT score.
- Working executives: 5 years of experience; CAT/XAT/MAT not required.
Ph.D. Programs
- Master’s degree or M.Phil with at least 65% or equivalent GPA.
- Indian applicants must have NET/CSIR-NET qualification.
- Mandatory documents:
- Self-Introduction
- Statement of Purpose
- Research Proposal (Turnitin similarity below 10%)
- Writing samples/publications (2–3)
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Part-time applicants (working professionals):
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience, Master’s with 65% (or 60% for M.Phil), and NOC from employer.
