Admission Notice: NIRDPR PGDTDM 2025–26, Distance Learning Program

The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) invites online applications for the 14th batch of its Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Development Management (PGDTDM) for the academic session 2025–26. Approved by AICTE, this 18-month distance learning programme equips development professionals, fresh graduates, and stakeholders in tribal welfare with the skills needed to address the multifaceted challenges in tribal development planning and management.


About the Programme

NIRDPR PGDTDM 2025–26

The PGDTDM programme is designed to create a cadre of well-trained tribal development professionals capable of positively impacting the quality of life of tribal communities. The curriculum covers cultural, socio-political, economic, administrative, legal, and human development dimensions of tribal welfare.

  • Build skills in project design, implementation, and management for tribal development
  • Enhance capacity to address rights, entitlements, and institutional frameworks
  • Promote participatory planning and documentation of tribal development interventions

Evaluation Methodology

  • Each theory course carries 100 marks (30 for assignments, 70 for semester-end exam)
  • Final semester project: 200 marks (evaluation and viva voce)
  • Total Programme Marks: 400

  • Medium of Instruction: English
  • Maximum duration for completion: 3 years

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognised university
  • Working professionals in tribal/rural development, agriculture, NGOs, CSR, government or academic sectors are encouraged to apply
  • Reservation as per Government of India norms
