The programme is designed to train students to become versatile theatre professionals through a comprehensive blend of theory, practice, and performance.

Eligibility

Admission Process
The admission process consists of:
- Screening of Applications: Based on eligibility and documents submitted
- Preliminary Test/Audition: To be conducted at NSD regional centres across India
- Final Workshop & Interview: Shortlisted candidates from the preliminary round will be invited to NSD Delhi for the final selection workshop
Selection is competitive and aims to assess creativity, aptitude for theatre, and suitability for intensive training.
Scholarship & Facilities
For Students of NSD 3 Year Diploma in Dramatic Arts 2025–2028
- All selected students are provided with a monthly scholarship of ₹10,000 to cover academic and living expenses.
- Hostel accommodation is compulsory and provided for all students.
- Facilities include rehearsal halls, performance spaces, costume and prop stores, technical training, and regular public performances.
Reservation Policy
- As per the Government of India norms:
- SC – 15%, ST – 7.5%, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 27%, EWS – 10%, PwD – 5%
- Reserved category candidates must produce valid certificates during application and admission
