Bose Institute, a premier research institute founded by Acharya J.C. Bose in 1917, invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to its Ph.D. Programme (Spring 2025 Session) in the disciplines of Chemical Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Physical Sciences.

Eligibility
- Educational Qualification:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Medicine
- Minimum marks: 55% for General, 50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/DAP (as per UGC norms)
- Qualifying Exams:
- Must have qualified any National-Level Test valid till 31st July 2025:
CSIR-UGC NET, DBT, DBT-BINC, ICMR-NET, DST-INSPIRE, GATE, JEST, JGEEBILS, or equivalent - Final-year postgraduates with a valid fellowship/test qualification may also apply, but must provide final marksheet at the time of joining
- Must have qualified any National-Level Test valid till 31st July 2025:

Below 28 years as on 22 May 2025 (relaxation applicable as per Govt. of India norms) - Fellowship:
- As per Government norms (JRF: ₹37,000 + HRA, SRF: ₹42,000 + HRA)
- DST-INSPIRE candidates will be admitted provisionally and must qualify in an eligible national test
- Limited institute fellowships are also available

Selection Process

- Shortlisting based on academic records and eligibility tests
- Interview: Tentatively in third week of June 2025 (in person at Kolkata)
- Final selection based on academic performance, scientific aptitude, and interview evaluation
- Candidates must bring original documents and a printed copy of acknowledgment receipt
