About CUET PG 2026
The Common University Entrance Test (Postgraduate), CUET (PG) 2026, is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by Central Universities and other participating universities and institutions across India. The examination provides a single-window opportunity for candidates seeking admission to PG programmes for the academic session 2026–27.
CUET (PG) scores are used by participating universities to prepare their own merit lists and conduct counselling as per their respective admission policies.

Eligibility
Educational Qualification
Candidates who have passed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination, or candidates who are appearing in the final year of their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination in 2026, are eligible to apply for CUET PG 2026.
Age Limit
There is no age limit for appearing in CUET (PG) 2026. However, candidates must check the age criteria, if any, prescribed by the respective universities for admission.
Examination Pattern and Scheme
Mode of Examination
Computer Based Test (CBT) only.
Number of Question Papers
Candidates can apply for a maximum of four question papers.
Duration
Each test paper will be of 90 minutes duration.
Number of Questions
Each paper will consist of 75 multiple-choice questions.
Marking Scheme

In case of dropped or ambiguous questions, full marks will be awarded as per NTA rules.
Medium of Question Papers
Question papers will be bilingual (English and Hindi) except for language papers, M.Tech and Higher Sciences papers, which will be in English only. Language papers will be in the respective language of the subject. In case of discrepancy, the English version will be treated as final except for language papers.
Choice of Examination Cities
Candidates can select up to two examination cities within the State or Union Territory of their present or permanent address. Final allotment of exam centres will be done by NTA based on administrative feasibility, and the decision will be final.
Application Process
The application process is completely online and involves the following steps:
Step 1: Online Registration
Candidates must register on the official CUET PG 2026 website and generate an application number and password.
Step 2: Filling of Application Form
Candidates must enter personal details, educational qualifications, select test papers, choose exam cities, and upload scanned images of photograph, signature, and PwD certificate (if applicable).
Step 3: Fee Payment
Payment must be made online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The application will be considered complete only after successful payment.
Candidates must download and retain a copy of the confirmation page for future reference.
Admit Card
The e-admit card will be available for download on the official CUET (PG) website. Candidates must appear at the examination centre strictly as per the date, time, and shift mentioned on the admit card. No separate intimation will be sent by post or email.
Reservation Policy
Reservation for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwD and other categories will be applicable as per Government of India norms or the reservation policy of the respective participating universities. NTA does not determine or implement reservation during admission.
PwD and PwBD Provisions
PwD and PwBD candidates are entitled to compensatory time and scribe facilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and applicable government guidelines. A valid UDID or disability certificate must be uploaded at the time of application.
Result and Score Validity
The CUET (PG) 2026 score will be valid for admission to postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2026–27 only. Scorecards will be available online and will not be sent by post.
There is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of results.
Admission and Counselling
Admission and counselling will be conducted separately by the participating universities based on CUET (PG) 2026 scores and their respective eligibility criteria. NTA has no role in counselling, seat allocation, or admission decisions.
